Though I feel I should note, Bill isn't exactly a being that knows how to love either : \ does this mean the influence wouldn't be as strong on him (like, should he be able to regain his senses back quicker than usual? Could he stab himself to snap out of it prematurely, ect?)
Alternatively, we could just ignore that for the sake of storytelling, (we could say being human is teaching him slowly but surely to ect.) and tease him about it mercilessly later.
